Tour to Valley of the Queens, Valley of the Artisans, & Habu Temple with Balloon ride
Overview
That sounds like an incredible itinerary! A hot air balloon ride at sunrise, followed by visits to the Valley of the Queens, the Tombs of the Workers, and Medinet Habu Temple will give you a deep dive into the history and beauty of Luxor’s West Bank. Here’s a suggested plan for your tour:
Itinerary ;
1- Hot Air Balloon Ride (5:00 AM – 7:00 AM)
- Begin your day before sunrise with a hot air balloon ride over Luxor’s West Bank.
- Enjoy stunning aerial views of the Nile, Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple, and more.
2- Valley of the Queens;
- The Valley of the Queens is a beautiful, peaceful place in Egypt where many queens and royal children of the New Kingdom (about 1550–1070 BCE) were laid to rest. It's near the more famous Valley of the Kings, close to Luxor. Instead of huge pyramids, the tombs here were cut into the cliffs, decorated with stunning, colorful paintings showing the queens' journey to the afterlife.
- The most famous tomb is that of Queen Nefertari, wife of Ramses II — often called the "Sistine Chapel of Ancient Egypt" because of its breathtaking art.
- This valley feels more intimate than the grand tombs of kings, filled with the deep love and honor the ancient Egyptians had for their royal women.
3- Deir el-Medina
- Visit the village where the artisans who built the royal tombs lived.
- The site includes small but vividly decorated tombs of the workers and a temple dedicated to Hathor.
4- Medinet Habu Temple
- Explore the Mortuary Temple of Ramses III, one of the most underrated yet well-preserved temples in Luxor.
